Iran has extended a collaborative invitation to member states of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), highlighting its expertise and readiness to engage in advanced oil and gas technology development.

This initiative aims to foster partnerships across upstream and downstream sectors, as reported by Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.

Iran identified key areas for cooperation, such as gas reservoir exploration, enhanced recovery methods, gas storage solutions, and carbon dioxide management.

Other proposals include advancing mini-LNG technologies, developing helium and blue hydrogen production, optimising energy use, and offering specialised professional training.

This initiative reflects Iran’s broader strategy to strengthen ties within the GECF and position itself as a pivotal contributor to global energy innovation. By promoting joint ventures and sharing technical expertise, Iran seeks to enhance its influence in shaping the future of sustainable oil and gas development.
