Uruguayan forward Darwin Núñez has completed his move to Saudi side Al-Hilal.

The 26-year-old cost Al-Hilal €53 million (R1.1 billion) plus add-ons. He has joined on a 3-year deal that runs until June 2028.

“Liverpool FC can confirm Darwin Núñez has completed a permanent transfer to Al-Hilal, subject to international clearance,” announced Liverpool.

“The Uruguayan’s three-year spell with the Reds concludes after he finalised a switch to the Saudi Pro League side.

“Núñez departs Anfield having made 143 appearances and scored 40 goals, collecting Premier League and Carabao Cup winner’s medals along the way.”

Núñez will team up with the likes of Senegal captain Kalidou Koulibaly and Moroccan goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou, at Al-Hilal.
