Son Heung-min’s days are numbered at the English side, Tottenham Hotspur.

The 33-year-old has confirmed he is on the verge of an exit after a decade at the London-based club.

“It has been quite a while since I made the decision to leave the club,” announced Son, who’s South Korean.

Son is expected to switch to Major League Soccer (MLS) side, Los Angeles FC, in the United States of America.

“Recent days have been difficult. It was difficult to stay bright on the outside, but I did my best not to harm the club or my teammates. Although the decision has been made, I want to make good memories with the fans in our two days here.”

Son added, “It was obviously the most difficult decision I have made. To spend 10 years at the club makes me so proud. I feel I have achieved everything I can here. I am grateful the team has accepted my decision.”

The forward joined Spurs from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 and has scored 173 goals in 454 appearances.

He was captain when Tottenham beat Manchester United in the Europa League final in May to clinch their first trophy in 17 years.
