Tunisia are heading to the FIFA 2026 World Cup after a last-minute winner against Equatorial Guinea in Malabo on Monday evening.
The Carthage Eagles become the second African team to secure qualification, following in the footsteps of Morocco.
This marks Tunisia’s third consecutive World Cup appearance.
Mohamed Ben Romdhane found the back of the net in injury time to hand Tunisia a 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea, making it 22 points from eight matches, playing out of Group H, with Namibia far off on 12 points from seven outings.
There are still seven automatic spots are still up for grabs when the CAF qualifiers continue on Tuesday.
South Africa and Egypt can join them depending on other results in Group C and Group A, respectively.
The nine group winners will qualify automatically for the World Cup.
The four best runners-up will then compete for one place at the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.
