Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile has finally caught up with Siyabonga Nomvethe on the PSL top scorers list.

The Namibian netted his 129th goal for a PSL team when Sundowns beat Magesi FC 2-0 at the Seshego Stadium on Wednesday evening, 20 August, in a league match.

Nomvethe’s tally was revised from 123 to 129 goals, as there were some ‘missing’ goals that were not credited to him.

Be that as it may, Shalulile is now also on 129 goals and needs one more to break the record. He’ll certainly go down as one of the best PSL strikers of all time.

Especially for a foreign marksman, Shalulile has acquitted himself well in South Africa over the years.

The 31-year-old netted 27 goals for his former team Highlands Park, before a switch to the Tshwane side five years ago.

He has scored 102 goals in 208 appearances for the Brazilians.
