Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas will clash against Moroccan outfit AS FAR in Friday’s CAF Women’s Champions League decider.

On Tuesday, ASEC Mimosas continued their historic debut campaign in the Champions League by edging Egyptian side FC Masar 1–0 in a tightly contested semi-final at the Suaz Canal Stadium in Ismaila, Egypt.

The decisive moment came in the 73rd minute when 22-year-old forward Essi Dagba gave ASEC the all-important lead that sent them through.

Awaiting them in the final is former champion AS FAR, a side determined to reclaim the title they lifted previously.

AS FAR edged holders TP Mazembe after a dramatic penalty shootout, following a tense 0–0 encounter.

The result not only sends the Moroccan giants through but also serves as fitting revenge for last season’s final, where Mazembe emerged victorious.

The shootout unfolded with drama, however, with a nervy ending, as Zineb Erroudany sealed the victory with the decisive fourth penalty to give the former champions the victory that subsequently sends them through to the final.
