Dubai has set a new global benchmark in tourism by welcoming 19.59 million international visitors in 2025, marking a 5 per cent increase from the previous year and the third consecutive year of record growth, according to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism

According to Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS, the emirate capped the year with an exceptional performance in December, hosting over two million visitors in a single month for the first time in its history. This achievement reflects Dubai’s strategic marketing campaigns, major international events, and robust partnerships, which continue to attract both first-time and repeat visitors from key markets worldwide.

Dubai’s hospitality infrastructure also recorded historic growth in 2025, with 154,264 hotel rooms across 827 establishments and an average occupancy rate of 80.7 per cent. Hotel revenue per available room increased by 11 per cent from 2024, highlighting the sector’s strength in both capacity and profitability.

Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, highlighted that the record performance underscores the resilience and long-term vision of Dubai’s development model, based on public-private partnerships and strategic planning.

According to the source, Dubai also achieved recognition for sustainable tourism, accessibility, and safety, including becoming the first certified autism-friendly tourism destination in the eastern hemisphere.
