The new technical sponsor of the South African Football Association, Adidas, has dropped the 2026/27 home kit for South Africa’s Men’s senior football team, Bafana Bafana, as well as the Women’s senior team, Banyana Banyana.
Adidas, which took over from LeCoq Sportif, introduced the fresh look on Tuesday morning, which bears a strong resemblance to Bafana Bafana’s 2010 World Cup kit.
The new jersey will be available for purchase from 20 March. “It’s a celebration of unity,” said Adidas about the new kit.
SAFA said in a statement on X that the new design is “a tribute to heritage, a celebration of family, a design for the future.”
Bafana Bafana will don the kit at this year’s FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the USA, Mexico and Canada.
Meanwhile, Banyana Banyana will feature at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which appears to have been postponed until later this year.
