Kaizer Chiefs have made another top signing to bolster their squad.
Amakhosi confirmed on Friday evening that they have brought back Khanyisa Mayo, who was deemed surplus to requirements by Algerian club, CR Belouizdad.
The 27-year-old is looking forward to coming home and becoming a Glamour Boy.
“Hello Amakhosi nation, this is Khanyisa Mayo,” said the striker in a video shared by the club.
“I’m very excited to tell you that I’ll be coming home to be a part of the biggest football family in the world. I am Khosified and I can’t wait to see you, and be a part of the beautiful Khosi nation.”
Mayo spent one season in Algeria following his move from Cape Town City for a reported transfer fee of $800,000 (R14 million).
He had been left out of the CR Belouizdad squad for the season after the transfer window closed in Algeria on 31 August.
Chiefs moved swiftly to sign him, but the details of the deal have not yet been revealed.
