Kaizer Chiefs have released a fifth player in recent times as they make way for their new signings.
Midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane is the latest to head to the exit at their Naturena base, south of Johannesburg.
The 30-year-old arrived at the club in 2023 from Cape Town City and a lot was expected from him, but Mdantsane only managed a paltry 16 appearances and two assists, before he was loaned out to Richards Bay, where he also struggled for game time.
Chiefs announced the decision to cut ties with the Leandra-born, Mpumalanga player on Monday.
He follows a few players to the exit, following Amakhosi’s decision to part ways with Ranga Chivaviro, Edmilson Dove and Sabelo Radebe, while Njabulo Blom was also let go after his loan spell from Major League Soccer (MLS) club, St Louis.
Chiefs are also expected to announce a few more departures by the end of June.
