Saudi Arabian Pro League club Al-Hazem has announced the signing of Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana.
The 25-year-old joins the Asians on a one-season loan deal from Tunisian outfit Espérance.
Mokwana was deemed surplus to requirements by the Blood and Gold but quickly garnered interest, especially from the Gulf region, with Al-Hazem moving quickly to secure his signature.
The KwaMhlanga-born forward fared well in his first season with Espérance after joining on a three-year deal from Sekhukhune United.
He made 37 appearances, scoring six goals and four assists, helping them to their league title triumph.
He went on to play in all their three matches at the FIFA Club World Cup in June.
Mokwana is the second South African to move to the Saudi league in recent times, after Mohau Nkota joined Al-Ettifaq from Orlando Pirates.
