Barcelona mentor Hansi Flick has agreed to a new deal with the club.

The Blaugrana’s decision to offer Flick an improved contract follows a decent 2024/25 season.

Barcelona needs just one win in their last three games to wrap up the La Liga title. They were also in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals before being knocked out by Italian side Inter Milan.

Flick’s charges have also won the Supercopa and Copa del Rey.

The German’s new deal runs until June 2027. He was initially under contract until June 2026 since arriving in Barcelona last year.

The 60-year-old has been in charge of 57 games: 42 wins, seven (7) draws, and eight (8) losses.

Meanwhile, Barça director Deco has acknowledged the club is actively searching for players to bolster the squad, specifically in the attacking areas.

“We feel a lot of dependency on Raphinha and Lamine Yamal,” Deco told ESPN.

“Maybe we need players with similar profiles to give us more options in those areas. Last year I said we couldn’t afford to lose anyone, and I think that still applies.”

“If we can improve, great — but the key is keeping what we’ve built for the future. We need to take care of the players we have.”
