Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns will face off in the semi-finals of the 2025 MTN8 following the draw on Sunday.

The dates and venues are yet to be confirmed, which is expected to be sometime this week.

The two giants of South African football were drawn against each other, with the defending champions, Pirates, set to host the 2021 winners in the first of two legs.

The Buccaneers eased to a 2-0 win over Polokwane City in Orlando, and Sundowns put on a show with the 4-0 drubbing of Richards Bay in Atteridgeville.

The Brazilians were without Khuliso Mudau, reigning PSL Footballer of the Season, Lucas Ribeiro Costa, and striker Peter Shalulile, but still got the job done.

Ribeiro and Shalulile are expected to leave the club, with overseas clubs calling.

In the other semi-final, Stellenbosch FC will take on Sekhukhune United.

Stellies needed extra time to beat AmaZulu 3-2 in Cape Town, and Babina Noko also won 3-2 against TS Galaxy in Polokwane.
