The yellow nation will come out in big numbers to back Mamelodi Sundowns in their CAF Champions League first-leg clash against Pyramids.

The two sides will battle it out at Loftus Stadium on Saturday, 24 May.

The tickets went on sale for R20 each on Wednesday, and the sold-out sign went up on Thursday evening.

Sundowns will be appearing in their third final in Africa’s premium club competition.

In 2001, they went down 4-1 on aggregate to Al Ahly, the Egyptian side that has dominated this competition with a record 12 titles to its name.

The Brazilians made amends in 2016 when they beat Zamalek, also from Egypt, 3-1 on aggregate to claim the title for the first time in their history.

This month, Sundowns will meet another Egyptian side, Pyramids, who are in their first-ever final.

Loftus Stadium can accommodate approximately 50,000 spectators, and Sundowns can count on their 12th man before the away trip to face Pyramids in Cairo on 1 June.
