The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled a new trophy for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) ahead of the tournament in Morocco.
South Africa’s senior women’s national team Banyana Banyana are the defending champions, but 11 other nations will be battling to get their hands on the new trophy.
The opening match of the tournament will be played in Rabat at the newly-built Olympic Stadium between hosts Morocco and Zambia on Saturday, 5 July.
Banyana Banyana will open their account on Monday, 7 July, against Ghana at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda.

Group A: Morocco, Zambia, Senegal, Democratic Republic of Congo
Group B: Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria, Botswana
Group C: South Africa, Ghana, Mali, Tanzania.
