In a move that comes as no surprise, Cape Town City has let go of their Head Coach, Muhsin Ertugral.
The Citizens are languishing in the bottom half of the PSL standings after yet another loss, this time to Marumo Gallants at home over the weekend.
City has 23 points from 23 matches and occupies the 13th spot.
Earlier in the year, Ertgural was roped in as Technical Director and interim Head Coach after Eric Tinkler was sacked.
Ertugral was stepping in until the end of the season and was expected to carry out his main role of Technical Director next season.
However, City has gone nine games without a win, and as a result, Ertugral has been sacked.
“The decision comes as a collective in the best interest of the club as we look to end the 24/25 season as strong as possible,” reads the club’s statement.
“We thank Muhsin for his professional and earnest contribution.”
Dutchman Andries Ulderink will take over as Head Coach ahead of next season according to local reports, and at this stage, the club is yet to confirm who will see out this season.
