The draw for the fifth edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League has produced exciting and well-balanced matchups.

The opening match will feature a North African clash between FC Masar and AS FAR in Ismailia, Egypt.

The tournament is set for 8 – 21 November in Egypt across two venues: the Suez Canal Stadium and the Right to Dream Stadium.

The draw was held at the CAF headquarters in Cairo on Monday.

The competition kicks off with a Group A clash between 2024 bronze-medallists FC Masar (Egypt) and 2022 champions AS FAR (Morocco) at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.

Two newcomers will make their debut in the competition and are also in Group A as 15 de Agosto (Equatorial Guinea) face US FAS Bamako (Mali) in a match that promises intrigue and excitement.

In Group B, defending champions TP Mazembe (DR Congo) will begin their title defence on 9 November against ASEC Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire). They are joined in the group by Gaborone United (Botswana) and JKT Queen (Tanzania).

In line with last season’s announcement of a 52% increase in Prize Money, this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League winners will receive USD 600,000 (R10.3 million) while the runners-up will take home USD 400,000 (R6.9 million).
