Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Sekhukhune United has severed ties with head coach Eric Tinkler.
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder was in charge for the last time over the weekend when Sekhukhune United beat Magesi FC 1-0 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Limpopo.
Tinkler had been at the helm since March last year after taking over from Lehlohonolo Seema.
The club’s decision comes as a surprise considering Babina Noko are fifth on the standings, with a real chance to finish third.
This season, Sekhukhune United have played 24 league matches, winning 10, drawing eight, and losing six.
Former PSL midfielder Paulus Masehe is expected to take charge in the interim, while a search for a new coach gets underway.
