II Russian–Thai Investment Forum to Take Place in Bangkok

In addition to the business programme, cultural and sporting events await forum participants

The II Russian–Thai Investment Forum will take place in Bangkok from 29 to 31 October 2026. The main theme of the event is “Russia–Thailand: A New Era of Economic Partnership”. The first day of the business programme will be devoted to “Drivers of Key Sectors”: metallurgy, agriculture and food security, sustainable energy, transport and logistics, certification and standardisation. The theme for the second day is “Drivers of the New Economy”: financial infrastructure, medicine and pharmaceuticals, wellness, the platform economy, property and HoReCa, tourism, and the sports economy.

The forum will feature a “Made in Russia” trade pavilion, showcasing Russian food and pharmaceutical products, industrial solutions and technologies. The pavilion will also provide Russian companies with opportunities to showcase their products and seek business partners in Thailand.

“The opening of the national products pavilion in Thailand will provide Russian manufacturers with comprehensive support in promoting their products on the Thai market. Exporters will not only gain access to a modern business platform for presenting their products and engaging in B2B interactions but will also be able to count on assistance with certification procedures, as well as marketing and legal support. I am confident that the pavilion’s work will result in a significant increase in trade between Russia and Thailand,” emphasised Vladimir Kovalev, Executive Director of the Russian-Thai Business Council.

The sports programme includes the first friendly match between professional ice hockey teams from Russia and Thailand, a masterclass led by Roman Rotenberg, First Vice-President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and head coach of the “Russia 25” national team, as well as exhibition performances by Russian figure skaters. In addition, a friendly badminton tournament will take place, featuring business representatives and professional athletes from both countries.

The cultural programme will combine the MIR festival in Bangkok’s central Lumpini Park with a performance of “The Thai Dictionary”. Furthermore, Moscow Days will also be held in the Thai capital. The forum is organised by the Russian-Thai Business Council.
