India Leads Global Surge in AI-Driven Business Transformation

Indian organisations outpace global peers in artificial intelligence adoption, digital innovation and data-driven growth strategies

India has emerged as one of the world’s most dynamic markets for artificial intelligence-led business transformation, with organisations demonstrating stronger confidence in AI-driven growth and digital innovation than their global counterparts, as reported by IANS, a TV BRICS partner.

According to the survey of 300 chief marketing officers (CMOs), Indian executives are demonstrating stronger confidence in AI-driven business growth than their counterparts in any other region. Around 53 per cent of Indian CMOs expect AI initiatives to generate between 5 and 9 per cent incremental revenue growth, significantly above the global average of 43 per cent.

The report highlights India’s growing commitment to artificial intelligence investment, with organisations increasingly directing resources towards AI-powered innovation, automation and advanced digital capabilities. The country has also emerged as a leading adopter of agent-based AI systems, reflecting a broader shift towards more sophisticated and autonomous technology solutions.

Experts note that artificial intelligence is rapidly moving beyond experimentation and becoming a central component of long-term business strategy across multiple sectors of the Indian economy.

India also recorded some of the strongest expectations globally regarding the ability of AI systems to process information and respond to changing conditions in near real time. This reflects a growing focus on speed, agility and data-driven decision-making in an increasingly competitive digital environment.

The findings underscore India’s emergence as a major force in the global artificial intelligence landscape. Supported by a rapidly expanding innovation ecosystem, increasing investment and strong digital ambitions, the country is positioning itself to play a leading role in shaping the future of AI-enabled economic growth.

As organisations continue to expand the use of advanced technologies, India’s AI transformation is expected to drive productivity gains, accelerate innovation and create new opportunities across industries, reinforcing the country’s status as one of the world’s fastest-growing digital economies.
