Former Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Touré is one of the latest Premier League legends to be nominated for inclusion in the Premier League Hall of Fame in 2025.

He would join fellow countryman and African, Didier Drogba, should he get the nod to join the 24 inductees.

Voting is open on premierleague.com to select the two new inductees into the Premier League Hall of Fame, which was created in 2021.

Touré played 230 games and scored 62 goals for Manchester City. He won the league with the club on three occasions before leaving in 2018.

“Yaya Touré, a giant at the heart of a legendary Manchester City midfield with the elegance and skill that was the match of his counterparts and opponents, was a combination of everything,” reads his profile.

“His driving runs dragged City single-handedly up the pitch on many occasions to put opponents on the back foot. His vision and skills meant he was just as dangerous when passing the ball to teammates as he was when running with it.

“His ruthless finishing matched that of world-class forwards, as he showed in 2013/14 with 20 goals and nine assists.”

The 15 nominees are Touré, Sol Campbell, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe, Patrick Evra, Cesc Fabregas, Les Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler, Eden Hazard, Gary Neville, Michael Owen, Teddy Sheringham, David Silva, Edwin Van der Sar, and Nemanja Vidić.

The Premier League Hall of Fame already has 24 former players (and managers);

Didier Drogba, David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Alan Shearer, Sergio Agüero, Vincent Kompany, Wayne Rooney, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Patrick Vieira, Ian Wright, Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Tony Adams, Petr Cech, Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Andy Cole, and John Terry.
