Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi appears to be not overly concerned about the team’s poor run this season, to a point where he’s reacted angrily to suggestions the team is struggling under his leadership.

The Tunisian was speaking at the press conference after their Soweto Derby 2-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Nabi has insisted that he trusts in the process and that no one should “provoke” him.

“Don’t provoke me because I’m not a younger coach, I have big experience. ‘Because you have a bad result, why do you stay here?’ What kind of question is this? Talk to me tactical, talk to me about our process but I’m not nervous,” Nabi responded to a Journalist.

“I respect you because I tell my assistant (Cedric Kaze), I don’t give time to these questions,” Nabi said.

“If you are a professional you will know the process, the evaluation of the process. If you are professional, this is another thing but me? I respect you, I respect all the Journalists, don’t provoke me, I’m not nervous. I’m nervous because I lost, but I’m not nervous for your question.”

Chiefs are placed ninth in the league with two matches remaining.

However, they can redeem themselves by winning the Nedbank Cup against nemesis Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 10 May.
