South African side Kaizer Chiefs has been drawn in arguably the toughest group in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The draw took place at the studios of CAF Broadcast Partner, SuperSport, in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Monday.

Amakhosi were drawn in Group D with two-time winners of this competition, Zamalek from Egypt, while Al Masry, also from Egypt, and Zambian club ZESCO United are also in the group.

Last season’s semifinalists Stellenbosch FC will battle it out with CR Belouizdad (Algeria), AS Otoho (Congo Brazzaville) and Singida Black Stars (Tanzania) in Group C.

The teams were seeded based on their performance in CAF interclub competitions over the past five seasons.

The 2025–26 CAF Confederation Cup group stage will begin on 21 November 2025 and end on 14 February 2026.
