Like many people, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana right-back Khuliso Mudau says he was caught off guard by the rumours that he is joining Orlando Pirates in the January transfer window.
“Sailor” has responded and dismissed the speculation, committing his future to Sundowns.
“I found out about that; I think one of my friends sent something like that where they said I’m going to Orlando Pirates, which I don’t even know anything about. I’m focused on Mamelodi Sundowns,” said Mudau.
“I’m 100% here; my heart is here. I want to achieve things with the team; I want to help the team. I don’t know what the talks are (about) and what they are saying, but I’m here 100%.”
The Sundowns faithful would be relieved that one of their key players is staying put, especially after the player’s clashes with management last year.
Mudau refused to train with the team earlier this season, allegedly due to a contract standoff with the club.
He is now believed to have signed a three-year contract extension.
