All eyes will be on Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday evening when they fight for a place in the knockout stage of the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Tshwane side carries the hopes of the African continent going into their final group game against Brazilian club Fluminense.

The two sides meet at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, United States (US). Kick-off time has been slated for 9 PM South African time.

Sundowns are third in Group F, behind Fluminense and Borussia Dortmund.

The top two teams in Group F will face opposition from Group E in the Round of 16.

If Sundowns win their group, they’ll face the runner-up from Group E; River Plate (Argentina), Inter Milan (Italy), or Monterrey (Mexico).

As things stand, the Group E runner-up is Inter Milan.

This match will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on 1 July.

If Sundowns finish runners-up, they’ll face the winner from Group E: River Plate, Inter Milan, or Monterrey (Mexico).

As it stands, River Plate are top of Group E, heading into the final round of group games.

This match will be played at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on 30 June.
