South African club Marumo Gallants have confirmed the appointment of Jamil Benouahi as the team’s new head coach.
The Moroccan takes over from Frenchman Alexandre Lafitte, who parted ways with the club recently.
In a statement, Gallants said: “The club is confident that Benouahi’s expertise, leadership and fresh perspective will contribute positively to the team’s performance as Marumo Gallants continues its campaign for the remainder of the season.
“Marumo Gallants remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, governance and performance both on and off the field, as the team continues its preparations for the remainder of the season.
“The club would like to thank its supporters, partners and stakeholders for their continued support and understanding during this period.”
Marumo Gallants are battling to escape the relegation. Currently, they are 14th on the log with eight matches remaining.
