Egypt’s Mohamed Salah became the fifth-highest English Premier League scorer of all-time as Liverpool was crowned champions at Anfield on Sunday.

Salah was on the scoresheet for the hosts in the 5-1 thumping of Tottenham Hotspur.

The 32-year-old’s second-half goal against Spurs was his 185th in the Premier League, ahead of Sergio Aguero (184) in the all-time top scorers list.

Salah now has his sights firmly on Alan Shearer (260), Harry Kane (213), Wayne Rooney (208), and Andrew Cole (187) after signing a new two-year contract with the Reds recently.

This season alone, Salah has scored 27 goals in 33 league appearances, ensuring he played a pivotal role in the league success.

He joins all of Liverpool and the club’s supporters across the world to soak in the moment after winning their 20th league title in history.

In their own backyard on Sunday, Liverpool needed just a draw against Spurs to secure the title, but they were rampant as they put five past a hapless Spurs side.

Liverpool’s 20th top-flight crown in their history equals Manchester United for the most winners’ medals.
