South African winger Thembinkosi Lorch is in for a big payday after securing a move to the money-spinning Libyan Premier League.
Lorch, 32, has officially put pen to paper with Tripoli-based Al Ittihad. He has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Formerly with Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, Lorch will pocket $75,000 (R1.2 million) per month during his stay with the North Africans.
He played his last match for Wydad on Sunday when the Moroccan team beat DR Congo side Maniema 1-0 in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup. He joined Wydad early in 2025 on loan from Sundowns before signing a permanent deal in August last year.
Lorch is expected in Libya in the next few days to begin his career with Al-Ittihad.
He will find a familiar face at the club, as he is moving with Burkina Faso international Stephane Aziz Ki, who is also leaving Wydad for Al Ittihad.
