South African coach Fadluraghman “Fadlu” Davids has completed his big move to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.

Raja confirmed his appointment on Monday afternoon, with contract details not yet publicised.

Davids, 44, has also said his goodbyes to Tanzanian club Simba SC, after a season with the club.

“It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Simba SC,” noted Davids, in a statement on Monday afternoon.

“From the moment I arrived, I felt the passion of this great club and the love of its incredible fans. Together we fought, celebrated, and grew stronger through every victory and every challenge,” he said.

“My deepest gratitude to President Mo Dewji for his inspiring leadership, vision, and constant support.

“To the players: keep fighting, keep believing, and keep lifting the badge with honor. To the staff and management: thank you for your trust and tireless dedication behind the scenes.

“To the Simba fans: you are the heartbeat of this club. Your voices, your songs, and your unwavering passion will forever echo in my memory. Thank you for welcoming my family as your own.”

Davids concluded, “Simba will always be a part of me, and I wish the club endless success, prosperity, and trophies ahead. Asante Sana, forever Nguvu Moja.”

For Davids, Raja is a familiar territory.

He served the club as an assistant coach during the 2023/24 season, under German mentor Jozef Zinnbaeur, before Davids joined Simba as head coach ahead of the 2024/25 season.

He led the club to a runners-up finish in both the Tanzanian Premier League and CAF Confederation Cup.
