Former TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic is making his mark in North Africa.
Ramovic has been handed a new three-year deal by Algerian side CR Belouizdad, just four months after arriving at the club from Tanzanian side Young Africans.
The German, who was previously at South African club TS Galaxy, has steered CR Belouizdad to third on the Algerian Ligue 1 standings and within touching distance of qualifying for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League, with three matches remaining.
Ramovic reckons this is just the beginning and there’s more to come.
“Firstly, I want to thank the club’s leadership, the board, and our incredible supporters for the trust they’ve shown in us,” says Ramovic in reference to his technical team.
“Signing a new three-year contract with CR Belouizdad is a huge honour. This club has history, ambition, and heart — and we are proud to continue building something special here. This club belongs at the top of Algerian football. That’s not pressure — that’s the standard. CRB is too big not to fight for the title every single season. But beyond that, we must play an important role in the CAF Champions League.”
He continues, “We must be competitive, respected, and feared in Africa. We are building a clear football identity: a high-intensity, attacking, possession-based style of play — one that reflects bravery, determination, and control. I demand intensity, discipline, and tactical intelligence from my players — but I also give them the freedom to grow and express themselves. The team I lead will always be hard-working, united, and courageous. We hear the fans. We see them. We feel their love for this club every single day. We want you to know that we are here to give everything — not just to win matches, but to make you proud of how we play, how we fight, and how we represent this great club.
“The trust I’ve received from the board, the staff, and the players means everything to us — but now it’s time to repay it with results, performances, and moments that will be remembered. We are fully committed to making this next chapter the most successful one yet.”
CR Belouizdad was formed in 1962 and has won the league 10 times and a record nine (9) Algerian cups.
