The Second Climate Week 2025 opened at the International Conference Centre in the Ethiopian capital and will run until 6 September. This is reported by Fana Media Corporation, a partner of TV BRICS.

The event is organised by the Ethiopian government and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). This year’s forum is held under the motto “Dialogues for Ambition and Implementation”.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of African governments, international and regional organisations, politicians, and experts.

The forum precedes the Second African Climate Summit (ACS2), where the main theme will be the search for mechanisms to finance sustainable development and promote climate solutions for Africa.

The week is aimed at sharing experiences, developing capacity and demonstrating practical initiatives that help implement the Paris Agreement.
