A truck driver is facing arrest and prosecution for allegedly taking a picture of his naked ex-girlfriend and later circulating it without her permission.
The alleged incident happened on New Year’s Day this year while the driver employed by Dirk Lotter Transport was transporting goods between Durban and Johannesburg.
The victim would not be named to shield her from secondary humiliation.
The victim said she was drunk when the incident occurred.
“While I was naked inside his truck and drunk, he took my pictures without permission.
“He did not end there as he sent my naked pictures to my employer, and I have since lost my job,” the victim alleged.
Despite pressing charges against the ex-boyfriend, she claims that he has not been arrested, and his employer has not acted against him.
“It seems that I can’t find justice, as when I reached out to his employer, they threatened to me with legal action if I publicize anything with their logo,” she further claimed.
The police in KwaZulu-Natal confirmed that a case was opened against the truck driver in Pinetown, and it is being investigated.
“Pinetown Police are investigating a case of Defamation of Character, in New Germany, this after a female Victim allegedly suffered indecent exposure at the hands of her alleged Boyfriend.
“Investigations indicate that naked picture of the female victim were allegedly circulated by her boyfriend after the couple enjoyed a night out on Thursday, 1 January 2026. Investigations into this matter is ongoing,” Colonel Paul Magwaza, the provincial police spokesperson said.
The Human Resources (HR) department did not comment when it was asked about the matter.
