City leaders, developers, architects, designers, urban planners, non-governmental organisations, financial institutions, SME (small and medium enterprises) networks and international trade delegations have been invited to attend the forum. They explored strategies for thermal resilience, climate change mitigation and adaptation as part of a shared mission to create more prosperous, equitable, low-carbon cities. The opening of the forum was chaired by Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai Authority. The event was also attended by Razan Al Mubarak, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP28. They discussed the outcome of the climate summit and the role of cities in catalysing climate action.
