Musina – A 24-year-old woman from Musina has appeared in the Musina Magistrates’ Court this afternoon facing a charge of rape of a 13-year-old boy, a Cameroonian national.

The court heard that on Friday, the 22nd of August 2025, at the Roman Catholic Church shelter, the accused called the victim while he was walking past the shelter.

The boy innocently went to the accused and found her lying on the ground naked. She started fondling the boy’s genitals until erection and forced him to have sexual intercourse with her against his will.

According to the Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority in the region Mashudu Malabi Dzhangi, the incident was witnessed by one of the residents at the church shelter.

Malabi-Dzhangi said the witness then informed the caretaker of the church and the police were called, and arrested the accused.

“The matter was postponed to the 1st of September 2025 for a formal bail application, and the accused remains in custody,” said Malabi Dzhangi.
