CAF Champions League holders Pyramids have welcomed Zambian winger Pascal Phiri to their club.
The 20-year-old joins the Egyptian club from ZESCO United on a three-and-a-half-year deal until June 2029.
For now, Phiri will have to contend with a place in the youth team, because Pyramids have reached their foreign quota.
Phiri is regarded as a future star and tipped to become a big player for the Zambian senior national team, Chipolopolo.
He has represented Zambia at the youth level and earned his senior national team debut in a friendly against the Democratic Republic of Congo in December last year.
The young man from Kafue, located in the Lusaka Province, said he is looking forward to a new experience in North Africa.
“As I embark on this new chapter, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my former team (ZESCO United FC) for the opportunity to grow and learn alongside such a talented group of individuals. I say thank you, and I wish you all the best, team Zega,” said Phiri.
“My new team (Pyramids FC)—I’m here to contribute and make a meaningful impact.”
