Police in Gauteng have arrested two suspects and seized a cache of high-powered weapons as part of ongoing efforts to curb violent crime and the spread of illegal firearms in the province.
Members of the Organised Crime Unit recovered three AK-47 rifles, a 9mm pistol and scores of rounds of ammunition during an intelligence-driven operation in Lawley Extension 2 in Ennerdale, south of Johannesburg.

Trial Date Set for Katiso Molefe in DJ Sumbody Murder Case
The murder case linked to the killing of popular amapiano artist DJ Sumbody has been postponed to October after a pre-trial conference concluded in the High Court in Johannesburg.
Businessman Katiso Molefe appeared in court on Thursday alongside his co-accused, Michael Pule Tau (55), Tiego Floyd Mabisela (45), and Musa Kekana.
The four men face 35 charges related to the murder of DJ Sumbody, whose real name was Oupa John Sefoka.
