Despite their latest setback, Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is still hopeful of winning the PSL title with the Buccaneers.

Pirates could only manage a draw against Richards Bay on Friday, denting their hopes of a league crown.

Ouaddou’s men are now one point behind the leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, who have a game in hand, as the season draws to a close.

“I’m telling you that it will be difficult,” said Ouaddou.

“But we still have a small chance to dream. We don’t have to gamble this small chance. We have to play every game until the end and we’ll see what happens.”

Pirates, who have 55 points, have six games remaining, while Sundowns have 56 points, with seven games to play.

Ouaddou added, “What I want to say to my boys is that let’s stay together. Let’s be focused because we still have games. What I can say is that they had a very great character and personality to come back to make it 2-2 (against Richards Bay). Unfortunately, the time was over. I think if we had played five or ten more minutes, I think we could have scored the third goal, but it was finished.”

For the record, Sundowns have won the PSL title eight times in a row.
