Dilma Rousseff is re-elected as Head of New Development Bank for another term

The Head of the New Development Bank (NDB) Dilma Rousseff confirmed her re-election as President. This is reported by O Globo newspaper.

“The council nominated my candidature and unanimously approved it,” she said at an event in Beijing.

Rousseff has led the NDB since 2023. She had earlier outlined several key areas of focus for the bank in the coming years. Among them are sustainable development as well as expanding its operations in the Global South. In addition, the NDB will endeavour to finance the private sector in local currencies.
