The partnership enables the countries to exchange expertise and develop the skills of scientists, according to the authorities

Egypt and Argentina have signed a memorandum of understanding between the Agricultural Research Centre of Egypt (ARC) and the National Institute of Agricultural Technology of Argentina (INTA). The document aims to foster scientific and technical cooperation, exchange cutting-edge technologies and support the sustainable development of the agricultural sector. This was reported by Sada El-Balad, a partner of TV BRICS.

The ceremony was attended by Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Alaa Farouk.

The main areas of cooperation will include the development of high-yielding crop varieties that are resilient to local climatic conditions, the introduction of modern biotechnologies, the development of effective irrigation and water-saving methods, the reduction of post-harvest losses, the development of aquaculture, plant and animal protection, and the production of nitrogen fertilisers.

In addition, the countries plan to exchange specialists and postgraduate students and to conduct joint scientific research, seminars and conferences.
