Liverpool marksman Mohamed Salah has been named the 2024/25 Premier League Player of the Season.

Salah, 32, was instrumental in the Reds’ league title-winning campaign, setting the record for the most goal involvements ever recorded in a 38-game Premier League campaign.

He has scored 28 goals and provided 18 assists, totalling 46.

Salah joins the exclusive club, being just the fifth player to win the award twice after Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Vidic, and Kevin De Bruyne.

Oh, he remains the only African player to win this award.

“The Egyptian could now make history on the Premier League’s final day on Sunday. Salah leads the league for goals and assists and could be the first-ever player to win the Golden Boot, Golden Playmaker, and Player of the Season award in the same campaign,” noted the Premier League.

“The Egyptian has scored 28 goals, five more than anyone else, while his 18 assists are six more than any other player and rank just two off the all-time single-season record of 20, jointly held by Henry and De Bruyne.”
