The gap between new Tunisian champions Espérance and the second most crowned, Club Africain, has widened.

Espérance have been crowned the champions for the 34th time in their history, and their success pales in comparison to Club Africain, who have been left far behind with just 13 to their name.

The Tunisian Ligue 1 is one of the leagues in the world where one team is totally dominant over others.

Espérance’s rivals did put up a fight in the 2024/25 edition.

The Bold and Gold only won it with just four points, with 66, ahead of Monastir (62) and Etoile Du Sahel (61), but Club Africain finished on 56 points.

To prove Espérance’s dominance, they were sixth after six games, with a grand total of nine points, and had changed coaches twice, but bounced back to win the championship for the umpteenth time.

Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana is part of the winning team, having joined Espérance last year.
