Less than a month before the start of the FIFA 2025 Club World Cup, the teams are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations.
Leading the charge from the African continent is Moroccan outfit Wydad Casablanca, who have confirmed some interesting international friendlies.
Wydad will play Spanish La Liga side Sevilla on 27 May at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca before tackling Portuguese team Porto at the same venue on 31 May.
The Club World Cup will start on 15 June to 13 July in the United States of America (USA).
Wydad find themselves in Group G alongside some tough opponents like Manchester City (England), Juventus (Italy), and Al Ain (United Arab Emirates).
Africa will also be represented by Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Al Ahly (Egypt), and Espérance (Tunisia).
African Times has learned that Sundowns may have a friendly with Portuguese powerhouse Benfica, but the match is yet to be confirmed.
