The Golden Visa will allow them to live and do business in the country without unnecessary bureaucracy

Ethiopia’s Immigration and Citizenship Service (ICS) will grant foreign investors who make a significant contribution to the national economy a 10-year residence permit, as reported by ENA, a partner of TV BRICS.
Deputy Director General of the ICS Gosa Demissie explained that the Golden Visa is an electronic document that provides its holders with greater freedom of stay in the country and speeds up administrative procedures. Investors will benefit from simplified entry and exit processes, including fast-track services at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.
Gosa noted that this initiative is particularly important in light of Ethiopia opening its real estate sector to foreign nationals. A five-year Real Estate Visa will also be introduced for those purchasing property in the country, including families.
By reducing the administrative burden, the government aims to accelerate industrial growth, attract investors, and increase foreign currency inflows, thereby ensuring the immigration sector plays a key role in national development.
