Colombian international Luis Diaz has completed his move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich.
Diaz, 28, joins Bayern on a four-year deal for a €75m (R1.5 billion) transfer fee.
“I’m very happy; it means a lot to me to be part of FC Bayern. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,” says Diaz.
“I want to help my new team with my style of football and my personality, as my goal is to win every possible title. We will work towards that every day as a team.”
Liverpool has also released a statement highlighting Diaz’s three-and-a-half-year journey with the English champions.
“Diaz departs the Reds having played a significant role in the lifting of four major trophies since arriving from FC Porto in early 2022, highlighted by Premier League title glory last term,” said Liverpool.
“Diaz made an instant impact after being signed by Jürgen Klopp, with his pace, trickery, and output from various attacking positions on show from his first appearances in the Liverpool shirt.”
