Former Orlando Pirates winger Mohau Nkota appears to be settling in well at Al-Ettifaq.

The 20-year-old has joined Al-Ettifaq on a three-year deal, leaving Pirates after just a season with the first team.

“It’s a dream come true to come to a club like Ettifaq, playing in one of the top leagues,” says Nkota.

He is now teammates with the likes of former Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum, who has welcomed Nkota with open arms.

Equally welcoming have been the Ettifaq fans, who appear happy with the club’s new acquisition, and the young man from Kimberly in the Northern Cape is ready to deliver.

“Ettifaq fans, thank you very much for the welcome, and I wish you all the best for the upcoming season,” adds Nkota.

Ettifaq are currently holding their preseason camp in Portugal, where they’ll play some friendlies, giving Nkota an opportunity to familiarize himself with his new teammates.

The Saudi Pro League is set to begin on Thursday, 28 August, 2025, and end on Thursday, 21 May, 2026.
