Orlando Pirates have pulled off a major coup in the transfer window.
On Wednesday morning, the Buccaneers’ corner was buzzing, with news that the club has brought in Bafana Bafana winger, Oswin Appollis.
The 23-year-old joins the Buccaneers from Polokwane City after months of speculation over his future.
Appollis, who’s been capped 14 times by South Africa’s senior national football team, has been a subject of interest from a lot of clubs, including Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, and also from North Africa, notably Tunisian club Espérance and MC Alger from Algeria.
Pirates, however, have won the race for his services for an undisclosed fee.
According to reports, the Soweto club is also set to welcome midfielder Abdoulaye Mariko from Mali, where he played for Djoliba and defender Lebone Seema from TS Galaxy.
Recently, Pirates announced the signings of Sipho Mbule, Yanela Mbuthuma, Masindi Nemtajela, Tshepang Moremi, Nkosikhona Ndaba, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Tshepo Mashiloane and Sihle Nduli.
Meanwhile, their other signing, Kabelo Kgositsile from Baroka, will remain at the Limpopo club on loan for the 2025/26 season.
