TV BRICS will provide information support to the development of Russian-African business ties aimed at strengthening international relations and enhancing the public image of the BRICS countries and the Global South

The TV BRICS International Media Network will provide information support for the development of Russia–Africa business ties aimed at strengthening international relations and enhancing the national image of BRICS and Global South countries. At the Economic and Humanitarian Forum held as part of the Third Russia–Africa Summit in Moscow, an agreement was signed by Galli Monastyreva, Chairwoman of the Association for Economic Cooperation with African States, and Janna Tolstikova, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of TV BRICS. The partners agreed to expand cooperation between expert and professional communities, implement joint information and analytical projects, and hold bilateral events.
“Cooperation with TV BRICS is an important step for the Association: Russian businesses entering African markets need reliable and timely information about the continent, while African partners need a clear understanding of the opportunities Russia can offer. Together, we will be able to showcase real success stories, introduce entrepreneurs to one another and build the trust without which long-term contracts are impossible. I am confident that this partnership will become a practical instrument for developing economic ties across the BRICS+ space,” noted Galli Monastyreva, Chairwoman of the Association of Economic Cooperation with African States and member of the Expert Council on Africa of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The Association of Economic Cooperation with African States is a leading organisation bringing together the efforts of government and business to expand Russia’s economic presence on the African continent. It was established in 2020 and is headquartered in Moscow. The Association helps improve the effectiveness of trade, investment and logistics operations between Russia and African countries: it conducts market research, prepares sectoral statistics and forecast analysis, organises international forums and business missions, supports investment projects and working-level communications, and organises educational programmes and internships for African students in Russia.
TV BRICS CEO Janna Tolstikova noted that the international media network’s activities are aimed at strengthening humanitarian, trade, economic and business ties between BRICS+ countries. The TV BRICS space is a broad, multi-level structure comprising not only media content in various formats but also opportunities for networking, experience sharing and international cooperation across different fields. The international media network initiates strategic sessions bringing together business and the public sector, co-organises professional internships in Russia for specialists from Global South countries, and, together with its BRICS+ media partners, produces sector-specific analytical studies needed to understand the global agenda and important socio-economic trends.

In the area of business communications in Africa, TV BRICS also works with the Russia–South Africa Business Council and the Black Business Council, an association bringing together South African companies owned by Black entrepreneurs.
In the field of information exchange, the media network cooperates in Africa with media outlets from Ghana, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Tunisia, Ethiopia and South Africa. In education, TV BRICS partners include the University of Gondar (Ethiopia) and the University of Venda (South Africa).
The Economic and Humanitarian Forum held as part of the Third Russia–Africa Summit is taking place in Moscow, Russia, on 28–29 October 2026 with the information support of the TV BRICS International Media Network.
