South African coach Fadlu Davids has been let go by Moroccan side Raja Casablanca after nine months at the helm.

Davids was in charge since September last year, but Raja Casablanca have taken a decision to relieve him of his duties after falling to fifth on the Morocco Botola log standings.

Davids was in charge of 22 matches, winning 13, drawing five and losing four.

Raja Casablanca have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Davids over the contract termination and compensation. He had joined on a two-year deal from Tanzanian outfit, Simba.

“Within the framework of its vision and strategic goals aimed at elevating the sports project and strengthening the continuous development track of the first team, Raja Club Athletic announces the turning of the page on its cooperation with first-team head coach, Mr. Fadluraghman Davids, and his technical staff, by mutual agreement between both parties,” the statement reads.

“The club extends its sincere thanks to Mr. Fadluraghman Davids for his period of work with the first team, wishing him and his technical staff the best of luck in their future professional careers.

“Raja Club Athletic reiterates its firm determination to continue working with complete dedication to fulfill the aspirations of its loyal fans and to achieve its desired objectives, in service of the club’s prestige and its historic legacy.”
