Former Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is set for a massive financial windfall in his new job in Saudi Arabia.
Inzaghi will finalise a move to Al Hilal this week, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
“Simone Inzaghi will earn €26m (R527 million) net per season as salary in the Saudi Pro League as the new Al Hilal head coach. The contract will be initially valid until June 2027,” reported Romano.
Inzaghi is expected to meet Al Hilal president, Fahad bin Nafel, in Paris today.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has rejected a move to Al Hilal.
“The president called me; I’ve rejected it. I spoke to [Ruben] Amorim [Manchester United manager]. He asked me not to go. Manchester United didn’t want to sell me. And they don’t need the money. But if I had wanted to leave, they would have made it happen.”
Al Hilal is home to stars such as Senegalese skipper Kalidou Koulibaly and Joao Cancelo of Portugal.
