Three suspects aged between 17 and 23 are expected to appear before the Malamulele Magistrate’s Court soon to face a murder charge following the fatal stabbing of popular Limpopo comedian and content creator Khadziyane Ndivhuwo, widely known as Skeem Mafenya or Skeem.
The arrests come a day after African Times News reported on the murder of the 20-year-old entertainer, who was found dead with multiple stab wounds to his upper body at Madonsi Boltman B in Malamulele, Vhembe district.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Limpopo, the three suspects were arrested on Saturday afternoon, 17 October 2026, following an intelligence-driven operation, just hours after the fatal stabbing.
Police said they received a report at approximately 03:35 on Saturday about a person lying motionless inside a yard. Upon arrival, officers found the victim on the ground with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
It is alleged that a community member heard a knock at the door and, upon looking through a window, noticed a man bleeding profusely. Emergency Medical Services were summoned to the scene, where the victim was certified dead.
The motive for the killing remains unknown.
Limpopo Provincial Commissioner of Police Lieutenant General Jan Petrus Scheepers condemned the killing and welcomed the arrests.
“We commend the swift response by the police that led to the arrest of the three suspects. We will monitor this case closely to ensure that the suspects are held accountable for the senseless killing through the criminal justice system,” Scheepers said.
The arrests mark a significant development in the investigation into the death of the young comedian, whose killing has shocked fans and the Malamulele community.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon to face the murder charge.
